CO-FOUNDER & TECHNICAL DIRECTOR

Domenico Dell'Aquila

Domenico Dell’Aquila grew up in Keysborough, as the youngest member of a large family. He commenced his soccer career at Springvale City at the age of 13, competing in the Reserves and striving for a Senior position in State 1 Victoria competition. In search of enhanced opportunities, he transitioned to Southern Stars, dedicating eight hours a day to training with the hope that a significant opportunity would eventually present itself.

In 2004, an important phone call altered the course of his life. On February 14, 2005, he arrived in Naples, where he began training with Afragolese FC Calcio before moving to the Serie D team, US Arzanese. He was subsequently offered a trial with SSC Napoli. However, during the trial, he realised that playing for Napoli did not align with his personal aspirations, leading him to make the significant decision to return to Australia at a young age.

Today, Dell’Aquila is happily married and a father of three. He has rekindled the passion that once fueled his dreams. Inspired by watching his son and engaging in coaching, he is determined to pursue his aspirations once again. He fondly recalls, “I remember standing in the middle of the stadium at Springvale City and saying one day I will establish an Academy.”

Career highlights include scoring in a friendly match against Sampdoria, training at SSC Napoli, and meeting renowned players such as Francesco Pio, Paolo Cannavaro, and Maradona Jr., as well as playing alongside his brother, Giovanni Dell’Aquila. He has also played for local clubs Bentleigh Greens, Eastern Lions, and Clayton Inter.

In addition to his soccer achievements, he was recognised as the Club Champion for Athletics Victoria, breaking 23 records in 1998.

Domenico recently made the decision to return to the field, commencing his journey where it all began: Springvale City. He established the No Limits Aquila Academy to share his expertise, knowledge, and football skills with the next generation of aspiring players aiming to advance their careers.
